On July 13, 2026, as part of the “Green Skills Accelerator for Youth Climate Entrepreneurship in the Mekong Delta” training programme, a delegation of postgraduate students from the University of Southampton (United Kingdom) and experts from the Mekong Institute, Can Tho University, visited CT Innovation Hub 4.0 (CTI 4.0) at CT Group. The visit provided participants with an opportunity to explore CT Group’s innovation ecosystem and gain insights into its research and technology development initiatives. The programme is jointly implemented by the University of Southampton, the Mekong Institute – Can Tho University, and RMIT University Vietnam under the British Council’s Climate Skills initiative.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to CTI 4.0’s research ecosystem, R&D projects, and innovative solutions in green energy, the circular economy, and smart agriculture. They also toured CT Group’s innovation spaces and engaged in a dialogue with CT Group representatives to discuss opportunities for collaboration in developing a network of green talents, fostering innovation, and advancing sustainable development.
Sharing her impressions after the visit, Ms. Nguyen Duong Thanh, Research Assistant at the Mekong Institute, Can Tho University, said: “What impressed me most was CT UAV’s unmanned aerial vehicle technology, which has tremendous potential for applications across various sectors, including agriculture, search and rescue, firefighting, and manufacturing. The adoption of UAV technology not only helps optimize costs and reduce dependence on manual labour but also enhances operational accuracy, safety, and overall efficiency.”
