The 2nd National Buddhist Ceremony Conference was organized by the Vietnam Central Buddhist Association in Nha Trang on 15 October. C.T Group sponsored 200 million dongs for this special conference.
Delegates to the conference highly appreciate C.T Group’s contribution and cooperation with the Central Buddhist Ceremony Departments and those in cities and provinces to bring Buddhist ceremony to Buddhists across the country.
His highness Thich Thanh Tung, Member of the Central Buddhist Ceremony Department, Vietnam Central Buddhist Association, contended that both conventional and unconventional Buddhist ceremonies help nurture the nation’s culture by enlightenment. Vietnamese Buddhist ceremonies have been absorbed in the lifestyle of Vietnamese people. Therefore there are similarities between Buddhist ceremonies and the country’s past and present ceremonies and their ceremonial music.
Buddhist Ceremony Departments from provinces suggested that Buddhist ceremonies become a subject taught in Buddhist institutes run by Vietnam Buddhist Association. It was also recommended that Buddhist ceremonies should be adhered to in special Buddhist celebrations such as Buddha’s Birthday, Enlightenment, Nirvana etc., while trying to conserve regionally-specific features.
Sponsoring the conference is one of the many good-will activities of C.T Group. C.T Group has also recently finished a cross-country caravan called “Benevolent Journey Sai Gon – Ha Noi 2010”. Up to 3000 poor families were directly and effectively aided at the beginning of the new school year. Another program is the “Hearts of Sai Gon” program in which C.T Group call for companies and individuals to follow the example of Bay Tan, the man who has voluntarily picked up litters from the river for 30 years. The ‘Love conserving Faith’ scholarship fund has also assisted many poor students to overcome difficulties and given them the necessary conditions to study and develop their careers.
