A SERIES OF “MAKE IN VIETNAM” ROBOTS AND PATROL UAVs DREW ATTENTION IN HOA LAC

CT GROUP

“Make in Vietnam” reconnaissance UAVs, robots, AI solutions, and a range of advanced technologies are being showcased at the Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2025.

The event takes place from October 1-3 at the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hoa Lac, in celebration of National Innovation Day (1/10).

The Expo brings together hundreds of tech companies, research institutes, and startups from Vietnam and abroad (including the US, Germany, France, and Japan); it is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors.

On display are new products and technologies across 11 key industries and sectors, as defined in Decision No. 1131/QĐ-TTg (12/6/2025) by the Prime Minister.

A robotic arm for the logistics sector drew strong attention from visitors.

UAV CT-VTOL-3D-44, with a wingspan of 4.4m, a 10kg payload, vertical take-off and landing capability, a ceiling of 3,000m, speed of 110-145 km/h, flight time of 180 minutes, and the ability to cover tens of thousands of hectares. It can be used for forest fire detection, anti-deforestation patrols, or to monitor hundreds of kilometers of coastline, borders, and islands…

A firefighting CT UAV designed for narrow alleys and high-rise buildings. The aircraft can carry water hoses, spray foam, and drop fire suppression balls. Equipped with reconnaissance UAVs for early fire detection, it can dispatch entire UAV squads to extinguish fires.

The system uses AI to carry out rescue operations automatically before the fire department arrives.

Measuring devices for precision engineering with very low error rates.

Various “Make in Vietnam” robots were showcased at the exhibition.

A robot dog is designed to mimic the movements of a real dog. It can navigate rough terrain and obstacles, allowing it to enter hazardous areas instead of humans.

With modern sensors and cameras, it can autonomously patrol, detect abnormalities, and assist in security tasks at factories, warehouses, residential areas, and critical sites.

The exhibition also features robot patrol and surveillance solutions, praised as safe, efficient, and user-friendly tools for modern monitoring. These robots come with intelligent warning systems capable of detecting smoke, heat, toxic gases, people, or unidentified objects, ensuring timely responses to emergencies.

Integrated with AI, 3D LiDAR sensors, deep-learning cameras, and SLAM algorithms, the robots can autonomously patrol, map environments, and detect unusual behaviors.

Another innovation is an automated food recognition system for billing in restaurants and food service.

The National Innovation Day and the Vietnam International Innovation Expo are part of the implementation of Resolution 57/NQ-TW of the Politburo, which emphasizes breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Alongside the exhibition, there are a series of exciting activities: STEM Experience Zone (1-3/10), National VEX Robotics Championship 2026- Kick-off (2/10), Awards Ceremony for top teams in international STEM & Robotics competitions (2/10), Vietnam Mobility Festival – Test driving experience (1-2/10)…
