Vietnam Gene and Cell Technology (VGCT) is a developer of advanced biotechnology and cutting-edge regenerative bioproducts applied in health sciences and agriculture.
In recent years, VGCT has focused on three breakthrough research directions that approach global technological standards: stem cells, immune cells, and
animal-to-human organ transplantation.
In agriculture, VGCT is taking the lead in advanced cultivation techniques and genetic editing.
CORE PRODUCT CATEGORIES
– GENE AND CELL TECHNOLOGY: Disease treatment utilizing autologous stem cell therapy; Treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases via immune cell therapy; Bioengineering of tissues and artificial organs from animal sources using decellularization technology.
– DECELLULARIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Enables tissue regeneration and animal organ humanization by removing immunogenic factors causing transplant rejection. VGCT is proposing the Central Government expedite the “Pink Sun” program—a bioengineered cornea transplant project for the permanently blind. By restoring sight to over 600,000 people, this initiative could expand the national workforce by 0.9% and contribute 0.8% to the GDP. VGCT aims to be ASEAN’s exclusive supplier of bioengineered corneas.
GENE EDITING AND HIGH-TECH AGRICULTURE:
- Development of CRISPR/Cas9 and Prime Editing technologies;
- Creation of crop varieties resistant to diseases, flooding, drought, and salinity;
- Integration of AI, UAV, and IoT systems in precision agriculture;
