A Special Milestone for Ho Chi Minh City
At the technology exhibition held to celebrate the 2025–2030 term Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the city introduced 650 products and solutions across 11 strategic technology groups. Participating in this event, CT Group showcased two booths which are CT UAV and the ASEAN Carbon Credit Trading Platform (CCTPA), demonstrating its commitment to accompanying the city in promoting national science, technology, and digital transformation development.
Mr. Tran Kim Chung, Chairman of CT Group, shared his expectations with the Online Government Newspaper regarding the business community’s outlook on Ho Chi Minh City’s development in the upcoming term.
Mr. Tran Kim Chung stated that this Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee is extremely special. It can be said that this is the 50-year milestone of Congress since the country’s reunification. This is also a remarkable milestone in terms of time, scale, and the city’s economic zone, marking scientific and technological accumulation as well as the expectations not only of the people and enterprises of the city but also of the Central Government and the entire nation. A completely new Ho Chi Minh City has been formed, with a scale and stature that extend beyond the national level to reach the broader Southeast Asian region.
Promoting Innovation and Digital Transformation to Help Ho Chi Minh City Break Through
Mr. Chung shared that CT Group has great expectations as the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress identifies science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the key drivers of the city’s development.
In this context, Ho Chi Minh City enjoys distinct advantages in terms of technology accumulation, capital, and human resources. The city is home to many major educational institutions such as Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, more than 450 scientific and technological organizations, 134 modern laboratories, and 123 intermediary institutions supporting scientific, technological, and innovative activities.
“The city also has a large community of overseas Vietnamese who are eager to contribute to their homeland. It is supported by a strong business community, many talented entrepreneurs, and outstanding scientists and technologists”, Mr. Chung shared.
Mr. Lam Dinh Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, expressed confidence that the city will make breakthrough policies and decisions to leverage all resources across all sectors, enabling Ho Chi Minh City to develop and accelerate in the near future.
The Chairman of CT Group assumed that Ho Chi Minh City, as well as the entire country, now possesses a “Quartet of Resolutions” that are highly effective and awaiting concrete implementation through decrees and circulars. However, he stressed that we need outstanding individuals to execute these outstanding resolutions. And this is the greatest expectation of the people and business community are looking forward to the Party Congress of Ho Chi Minh City will select truly exceptional leaders to set bold, strategic directions, particularly in promoting innovation and digital transformation to help the city break through.
In particular, innovation in public administration, economic management, and especially personnel organization will generate significant efficiency and social impact, paving the way for scientific and technological innovation.
