The ministries, sectors, and localities of both sides exchanged cooperation agreements, including: the Vietnam News Agency and South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency, cooperating in professional operations in the new phase.
Hai Phong City and SK LEAVEO CO., LTD cooperate to promote green growth development in Hai Phong. Hanoi City and One Law Partners (OLP) cooperate to formulate an investment and development plan for the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. Khanh Hoa Province and SK Innovation cooperate to develop the Specialized Energy Industrial Cluster (SEIC), including LNG investment in Khanh Hoa, the development of distributed energy resources (DER), and LNG-related logistics industries.
Ca Mau Province and SK Innovation cooperate strategically to develop the Specialized Energy Industrial Cluster, including the LNG Project and initiatives for regional industrial and agricultural development. Can Tho City and SK Innovation cooperate to develop clean and diversified energy technology solutions. Bac Ninh Province and Si Flex Company cooperate to expand and increase the investment capital of Si Flex Company’s investment project in the industrial park of Bac Ninh Province.
In the fields of energy and industry, the two sides exchange cooperation agreements. The Vietnam Maritime Corporation and HD Hyundai Group cooperate to establish a joint venture for building new ships. The Vietnam Electricity Group and Hyosung Heavy Industries Company cooperate to implement STATCOM projects and smart grid equipment in Vietnam’s power system, including the potential for manufacturing transformers in Vietnam.
The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, the PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation, SK Innovation Company, and LS ECO ENERGY Company exchange a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group and SK Innovation Co., Ltd, and a cooperation agreement with LS ENERGY Company on investing in constructing and operating a high-voltage cable manufacturing plant in Vietnam to serve the Renewable Energy Project.
Vietnam Airlines Corporation and Korean Air cooperate to establish a joint venture company providing aircraft maintenance services at Long Thanh International Airport and to collaborate in cargo transportation. The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) cooperate in the fields of energy, AI, high-tech agriculture, and Logistics.
KN Holdings Group and Samsung C&T Company cooperate to develop three floating solar power projects on the KN Srepok 3 hydropower reservoir, KN Ialy Gia Lai, and KN Ialy Kontum, with a total capacity of 864 MW.
Peridot Energy Vietnam Company and Gas Entec Co., Ltd. engage in strategic cooperation in the field of green fuels. The Green Solutions Company and BIONANOKOREA Company engage in strategic cooperation to develop the green hydrogen and green ammonia value chain in the South Korean market.
In the fields of digital infrastructure, digital transformation, and supply chains, enterprises exchange cooperation agreements: The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group and KIRA Company, together with LG CNS Company, cooperate in the field of data centers, including the potential to invest in and develop a data center in Vietnam with an initial capacity of 20–30 MW, as well as to jointly operate and provide data center services in the Vietnamese market.
Truong Hai Industrial Group (THACO) and Hyundai Rotem Group cooperate in researching, developing, and implementing urban railway and high-speed railway projects in Vietnam. CMC Technology Group and Samsung C&T Company cooperate in developing AI data centers and digital transformation in Vietnam.
Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) and KT Group engage in strategic cooperation to develop AI solutions and the AX platform, contributing to Vietnam’s AI and digital transformation strategy.
Saigon Telecommunication & Technologies Corporation (SAIGONTEL – SGT), G-GROUP Company, ZUP Company, and Korea Technology and Future (KTNF) Company cooperate to develop a leading data center ecosystem and server platform in Vietnam. Phu My Investment Group Joint Stock Company and Eric C&C Company cooperate to develop an automated port, smart logistics solutions, and digital infrastructure to serve Phu My Port.
Vietnam Rubber Group and New Korea Trading Corp agree to cooperate in securing the consumption of high-tech agricultural product chains in the South Korean market. Viet Phuc Company and MIDAS HOLDING CO., LTD cooperate to develop a fruit preservation system, build cold-chain processing logistics facilities, and expand cooperation in other areas within the agricultural value chain.
In the fields of finance–banking, services, and tourism: the National Innovation Center (NIC), Nextrans Company, and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) cooperate on investment in innovation, startups, and support for the establishment and development of the national innovation fund. BIDV Bank and Hana Bank coordinate to implement cross-border QR code payment services from South Korea to Vietnam, with Hana and BIDV serving as intermediary settlement banks.
Saigontourist Group – Saigon Exhibition and Convention Joint Venture Company, Saigontourist Travel Company, and Vietnam Airlines, together with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), Hana Tour, and COEX Convention and Exhibition Center, cooperate to develop tourism services and digital technology in transportation, aviation, services, and Vietnam-Korea tourism.
Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank) and SK Innovation Company, Seojin System Company, cooperate to provide financial and banking services in Vietnam. Vinpearl Joint Stock Company and Hana Tour; HKG Company; and Highlands Marketing Company cooperate to promote tourism between Vietnam and South Korea.
CT Group and Airbility Company, Imagis Company, and Inha University (South Korea) cooperate with Airbility Company to export 5,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs); cooperate with Imagis Company to export 100 million semiconductor chips; and cooperate with Inha University (South Korea) on training and technology transfer in the field of semiconductors.
EPSI Development Trading and Services Company Limited cooperates with the Myongji Medical Foundation to develop, operate, and manage leading nursing homes, resorts, and rehabilitation centers in the Ho Tram – Xuyen Moc area.
In the field of high-quality human resources training, the agreements include: Hanoi National University and Sungkyunkwan University, and KEPCO-KDN Company cooperating to train high-quality human resources, exchange lecturers, implement applied research, and transfer technology, particularly in the fields of semiconductors, biotechnology, and biomedicine.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology cooperates in student and lecturer exchanges, internships, and the training of high-quality human resources in strategic technology sectors, as well as scientific research and technology transfer, with the following partners: Hyosung Dong Nai Company, Pohang University of Science and Technology; Kyungpook National University, and the College of Engineering, Seoul National University.
Vietnam Railways Transport Joint Stock Company cooperates with SR Company to develop human resources in the fields of construction, engineering, and the operation and management of high-speed railways and urban railway signaling systems. FPT Group; FPT University; Gachon University; and Abov Semiconductor Company cooperate to implement a 2+2 Semiconductor Integrated Circuit training program linking academia with industry, to enhance research quality, and to provide professional development for lecturers in the field of semiconductor integrated circuits.
Dai Nam University and Yeungnam University entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a 2+2 joint training program in Semiconductor Technology. The Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and Chung Ang University agree to cooperate on a dual-degree undergraduate program in Multimedia Technology, to establish a Vietnam-Korea Virtual Convergence School training model, and to research and develop technology applications in the cultural industry.
The University of Transport Technology and the Korea National University of Transportation agree to cooperate in implementing a dual-bachelor’s degree program in High-Speed Railway Engineering, to participate in training and short-term courses for faculty members on high-speed railways, and to receive students (first-year undergraduates and master’s students).
Duy Tan University and Chungbuk National University entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to implement a dual-bachelor’s degree program and a joint master’s degree program (with tuition waived for Duy Tan University students) in the fields of technology, AI, semiconductors, and more. The two universities also signed a memorandum of understanding for scientific research cooperation between faculty members to establish strong research groups in technology and AI, with financial support from the South Korean government.
These cooperation agreements serve as a foundation for expanding the future partnership between Vietnam and South Korea.
