On the morning of December 18, 2024, a strategic partnership signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of CT Group. The agreement focuses on implementing rooftop solar projects for self-consumption, integrating energy storage systems (BESS) without grid connection, and utilizing the latest advanced energy technologies, with an estimated total investment value of $500 million.
The agreement was signed between CT Solar Homes (a member of CT Group) and international business: Novaren ASIA, Novasia Energy, Groupe Duval, Ukko Renewable, and SAPI. Under this agreement, CT Solar is implementing high-tech production models that utilize renewable energy. With this historic deal, the parties aim to achieve a total capacity of 1.2 GWp by 2030, with an estimated investment of $500 million, to be deployed according to a detailed development plan over the next 5 years.
CT Solar Home (a member of CT Group) has partnered with Novaren ASIA, Novasia Energy, Groupe Duval, Ukko Renewable, and SAPI to develop rooftop solar energy projects.
Following the signing ceremony, the partners will swiftly launch the first pilot projects in key southern economic regions such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, and Long An… The initiative will scale up the implementation of rooftop solar systems integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), focusing particularly on the commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors. These systems, which do not feed power into the national grid, will optimize local energy use, ease the strain on the national grid, and support businesses in their green transition, helping them achieve ESG compliance. In addition, CCTPA, another member of CT Group, will assist in generating carbon credits and facilitating the trading process.
Mr. Christophe, Chairman of Novasia Energy, stated: “Novasia Energy is proud to partner with a major corporation in Vietnam. As a partner in the development of green energy solutions, we recognize that CT Group, and CT Solar Homes in particular, have a strong commitment to sustainable development, with a focus on green transition. Their vision is to create smart, sustainable infrastructure for future generations. We are eager to collaborate further to promote lasting, sustainable values.”
A representative from CT Solar Homes shared: “We view this partnership as a strategic milestone, one that marks a significant turning point for CT Solar Homes and opens a new chapter in the sustainable development of the Group. This project will not only deliver clean energy solutions but also seamlessly integrate with CT Group’s high-tech ecosystem, which includes CT Semiconductor, CT Modulex, CT UAV, and smart supply chains such as Bon Grocer and Logiinds. We are together advancing toward a brighter and more sustainable future”.
This partnership will support numerous businesses in their transition to sustainability and help them meet ESG standards.
At CT Group, even the janitorial staff is well-versed in the company’s ESG strategy and strongly supports it, with employees receiving carbon credits as part of their bonuses. This strong commitment has created a highly positive atmosphere within the Group, and the $500 million partnership between CT Solar Home, Novaren ASIA, Novasia Energy, Groupe Duval, Ukko Renewable, and SAPI has further fueled the collective drive, with everyone fully determined to achieve new milestones.
