This evening, 500 kilograms of pink pomelo from C.T Group will be shipped to Truong Sa and will reach the archipelago in four days. Together with loads of presents from mainland, the fruits will be handed to soldiers who are doing mission on submerged islands, ships, as well as army units operating on floating islands and DK1 rigs.
Only those who have been living and doing mission on Truong Sa archipelago, which is year-round surrounded by burning sun, immense ocean and strong wind blows, know how precious fresh water, vegetables and fruits are in here. Over the past three years, Truong Sa soldiers have few chances to enjoy fresh fruits – this daily snack on the mainland seems out of reach to them.
