LNG STORAGE FACILITY
According to Resolution 55-NQ/TW dated February 11, 2020, Vietnam aims to have sufficient capacity to import around 8 billion m3 of LNG by 2030 and approximately 15 billion m3 of LNG by 2045.
The Government’s Resolution No. 140/NQ-CP, also issued on February 11, 2020, confirms that LNG imports will be around 8 billion cubic meters by 2030 and approximately 15 billion cubic meters by 2045.
Decision No. 3029/QD-BCT dated March 30, 2015, and Decision No. 60/QD-BCT dated January 16, 2017, of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, there are several planned LNG terminals until 2035.
These include:
- Hon Khoai port project (Ca Mau province)
- Cat Hai port project (Hai Phong city)
- My Giang port project (Khanh Hoa province)
- Southeast LNG Terminal (expected in Tien Giang province)
- Southwest LNG Terminal – Phase 2 (Ca Mau province)
- Thai Binh Floating LNG Terminal (FSRU) (Thai Bình province
- Northern LNG Terminal (Hai Phong)
